They could have made the effort to integrate the locals into society. Like what Singapore did. Instead they further create tribalism, push them in a ghetto, and let fucked up ideas spread. It's clear they don't want a big arab minority, but they never could just straight up kill them off for obvious reasons. The irony is if the founders weren't Zionist nuts, they could have built something else than an ethnostate, but also they wouldn't have survived the Egypt war. It's hard to change your country's ideas unless someone conquers you or there is a genuine revolution.
