It’s all quite simple if we take a step back. Here are two very basic truths. We could go into details about the minutia of how or why it’s happening, but it’s not important:

Again, we can get into details about which is more likely and why, but there’s literally no third option here. We’ve reached the inflection point (seriously, read the link; it’s bonkers) and have to chose:

>there will be a military draftI personally think it’s the latter option. The former would require a complete overhaul of how the US operates with regards to foreign policy and military intervention, which has become a sort of cornerstone of American politics over the past half century. I just don’t see the U.S. realistically retreating from the world stage, isolating itself, seeking neutrality… it’s just goofy to even try to imagine if.
