in loose painting, you can simplify humans as vague blobs. But in realism, theres so much shit you have to get right. The fabric folds, the muscles, the anatomy. Its no less difficult. One wrong muscle and people who are learned can tell it straight away. Its ""easy"" when you paint from a photo or from real life, but many times its all from imagination with a few references to help out.
