for me personally, if i have an event of importance with a desired outcome, like recording music or performing a concert, then i abstain from jerking off for the initial concentration and visualization of that event. then i will jerk off, not fuck a women, after about 5-6 days of intense preparation and usually the day before the event. this has served me well. i have tried the other way where i do not jerk off for a week while visualizing and then only relieve myself ritually after the event but i find the former instructions work best for me.
