>>22726097they cannot really give away limited characters for free because people pay money for them and you can spend money on the default banner too but it is just assumed that you won't be dumb enough to do that so giving away those default s tiers is usually the default option when it comes to gifts of such caliber, a few characters that are available for the picking are actually pretty good and future proofed due to having very unique synergies and abilities unlike how it was and still is in genshin where even back in 2021 the default 5 stars felt very basic and underwhelming and they were always outclassed and never good at anything and yeah the 50/50 thing is very scammy and annoying and they should just set like hard pity at 100 rolls where you're 100% always guaranteed to roll the character you want and before that just rise the odds of a 5 star/s tier every 10 rolls before it hits 100 or before you get a limited character but that would be too consumer friendly so that's how it goes unfortunately
