As for Germany, they were only ever straight with you. They offered territories in the east equal to those they wanted returning, and in the 20's when you were attacked by the red army they didn't turn it into a two front war, but sent volunteers and equipment to aid you. And in recent years, it's Germany that has advanced your economy through grants afforded by their productive enterprise.
