What you're seeing is the results of a desperate party that has seen the decline of its component parts rallying together in order to stave off further destruction. /bant/ is technically one of the biggest concentrations of Touhou fans on the internet at the moment (more than MoTK, and it's not just Cirnofags but also people like that Spaniard that hates her but is nevertheless a 2hufag), and they went here because they have nowhere else to go, no place like /jp/ or /a/ which have become totalitarian police boards, and all their old bulletins are dead or dying. They post as hard as they do because to let /bant/ fall out of control means the destruction of possibly their last chance to function as an organized community, especially poignant when /qa/ was reset into a meta board a few days ago.
Unlike Wojak who has /biz/ and joint control of /r9k/ with Pepe who has more boards that I can care to count, Cirno only has /bant/. Without /bant/ and especially without KoG to keep the idea alive, they're toast. There is no CirnoIsTheStrongest.coms or subreddits left to rally behind. Letting there be more Pepe threads on /bant/ then Cirno threads is simply unacceptable as it implies the frog is more welcome on the board than a supposedly HQed meme, and I feel this is a major contributer to the Cirno spam. The junk threads exist to fight the imptrash
