There is more than one reason Christ suffered.
Because the world is fallen, a result of our sin (which you left out), natural evil exists. Christ entered into our suffering instead of remaining outside of it, so he could lead us. He also wanted to show us that there was no suffering we would endure that he did not also endure.
He knows it sucks here. We chose the suck. He entered the suck for our sakes.
