>>18056150>not just about sympathy but about the procedureI think even if they didn't have a choice to be assigned to it, they likely could've quit at any time they wanted if they saw that they couldn't take it. Not really anyone else's fault if they kept being around it for months even while being obviously bothered by it.
About the procedure part, it depends on if they voiced their issues or not. If they said nothing about it and just quietly suffered it out, then I don't think the studio could've done anything about it. Using real gore as reference for models and whatnot is a bit of a common practice in making games, so it's probably fully expected for them to be able to handle it. If they did complain and nothing was done, again they should've simply valued their health over their job and quit. I don't know if there was something stopping them from doing that.
Other than that, I'd say it's scummy if they didn't help out in getting them treatment after the fact, but that's just what big companies are like.
I think there's just not enough details to say much about it for sure. But what definitely sucks is getting PTSD to help make a shitty ass game like MK that only gets sequels to keep itself relevant.
Plus if I'll be blunt, getting paid to look at gore is any teenager's dream job and you have to be a bitch to complain about it.
>the similar trauma thing happening with content moderatorsGood. Anyone who moderates the internet deserves everything bad that comes with it, and more.
