They seek to impose their will, over God’s, onto Creation.
It is a sin for that reason. It is why God dispersed our forefathers at Babel.
Magick never works correctly. It always misses the target, sometimes by a lot, sometimes by a little. This is because we cannot do it right. God’s attribute of Omnipresence, Omnipotence, and Omniscience are essential to His will being properly done in creation. Without that, we are doomed to forever fail. All we can really do is mess the place up, like we have done from the beginning.
