Let's try it a little bit different then - why do you think they are how they are? I'm talking mainly about their attitude towards you but also want to keep in mind everything else. In other words, why are they happy and you're not? What differs your ideologies and why are they so different? And if you first thing that comes to your mind is "ignorance" then ask yourself if you respect their philosphy due to how life made them to think.
You know, I am quite a fan of Kant's philosophy, but at this point I don't even remember who exactly came up with the idea of global reason for everything. I call it in such trivial words, because its late at night and my phone isnt comfortable enough to do a quick Google search, but the essence of that though is, that everything has a reason. You are born how you are because of genetics, and your parents found love in each other because of something. You think X because of Y that happened at Z time of your life.
It's really just one big justification for all good and bad, but life is much easier this way to bear - when you forgive people themself because how world forced them to live this way, yet forgetting that this idea also describes you, otherwise you would have a perfect "but" for all your faults and hate.
