One of the main reasons /bant/ was created was because after the 2017 april fools event, people kept on pestering the mods and hiroshimoot to give us a /b/ with flags since /vint/ and /spa/ were comfy. Mods thought they could kill two birds with one stone and created /bant/ to be /b/ with flags and also send /pol/tards here. There was already an effort within the first week to drive out /pol/tard politics, /int/ chatrooms (country circlejerk generals) and /r9k/ blogposts
