>>15631814So basically a pipe with hot water broke in the kitchen and water spilled out everywhere
The issue was that the valve was of the other type than standard and it was really hard to shut using bare hands without the use of a wrench not to mention you'd have to find it in the dark and force yourself into it while almost boiling water is pouring on you
I tried shutting it down but I couldn't move it
We called the emergency number but it would take some time be fore they would arrive here we even tried shutting down the hot water in the whole building with the help of neighbors but the overseer didn't know where valves were
I then came back, forced myself under the sink, grabbed the valve and applied a lot of force on my fingers damaging them a little
I managed to almost completely lower the pressure with some water still coming out but we could collect water using some bowls
Then plumbers came and did troubleshooting
They managed to shut down the water completely and they told us that we have improper valves installed because if we had the standard ones we could shut down the water immediately and actually the administration is responsible for this
Then we had to clean all this shit up take out the trash and clean everything up
So yea very intense saturday
