Id wager that it goes supernova, and our star collects the dust and starts popping off itself. Maybe it's a recurrent outburst from Anteres that drives the cataclysm cycle, not some magic current sheet. Maybe it's the current sheet that drives Anteres outburst that drives our stars outburst.
