>and neither do those anime mask things but you know what life isnt fair oka lot of fursmut, and drawn cartoons in general, are expecially appealing because they leave a lot to the imagination, and the imagination usually fills it in with good but unseen details. paradoxically, high detail works look better when the anthro features are left out or simplified -- faces, general body shape, etc. in favor of stylizing clothing, unnatural appendages, or other accoutrements.
it's like lingerie. a bare pussy is hot and all, but not that hot. but a pair of panties with dangling laces and connected to fine hoisery with detailed embroidery and other patterning is way hotter, to the point where you could even slap it on a guy and it's still weirdly hot even though you arent gay. (i think this is why supposedly straight dudes love traps so much, it's more the clothing and attitude than the actual body of the person. the body is just a vessel for the hot outfit)
anyway, this all leads up to fursuits being real-life objects and not having the opportunity to simply leave details out. some suit makers go for as much realism as possible, while others try to get as close to anime styling as they can, to either make up for or achieve that effect of left-out details being filled in by the imagination with almost necessarily good content.
A lot of western suits fall in the middle, where you can really see the glaring flaws, like unfocused eyes, too-symmetrical faces, an unnatural gait, being baggy or puffy in the wrong spots, etc.
as the level of skill in both the community and in design fields in general goes up, these problems are slowly lessening, but you still get shit like pic related where THICC is taken too far and looks dumb, and other suits simply arent tailored right and look like a nigga wearing his laundry day sweats
