>>14940595I go running at night. Anytime I've been chased by a dog I've been able to scare them by doing a 180 pivot and immediately charging them head on. Even bigger dogs like German shepherds get spooked by this and fuck off, they're used to being the chasers, not the chased. I've also done with some coyotes but they're a pretty small breed anyways. Most dogs just don't know what to do when you charge them and get scared.
A pitbull though I don't think I would try this, out pacing them since they can only sprint for 10 seconds at a time might be the best bet, if you're a runner that is.
