that's happened to me a lot and i just leave instantly every time. this meeting was useful though, helped me decide that doing a school trip together with a bunch of classmates is indeed SUPER cringe and not worth doing over an independent study abroad even if it's quite cheap.
also gotta bring my gpa up lol i don't meet the requirements for some of these
