Belief is what you believe anyways, not what you choose to believe in or claim. Choices can help you believe in something more, but it's not as easy to interact with as you might think.
A Lord returning would ask people, maybe his first question: What do you really believe? And it isn't all these things we claim, even honest believers. We believe we'd still cause harm even after we'd claim and say we 'believe' we've learned our lesson. And all this logical networking that can be traced shows we have much more to learn and were never as devoted or careful as we said we were.
We all still have more to learn, maybe as long as we live in eternity. We shouldn't bar the way to truth and should understand every argument against our current positioning.
