>>15821183This'll probably be my last post before work btw.
>I'd say random spam waves are actually part of the experienceI don't really have any grounds to stand on here as I have flooded this board multiple times in the past, lulz. I would agree overall though; as frustrating as it can be, the chaotic nature of the board ends up involving spam.
>Seems like the jannies here think the same, too.Honestly it's hard to tell if they're just being negligent because /bant/ is a small, slow board or if they really do feel that way. I suppose negligence would be way more obvious though.
>[s4s]Man people have been saying that /bant/ is close to [s4s] for years now. I also remember the exchange program we had with them that rendered both our boards nigh unusable while those threads were stickied, seems like even the mods think that way. or... at least Swaglord does.
>I wonder how it'll be another five years from now.I'd imagine the environment would change a little more but I dunno how much it'll change overall. Like you said, stuff like this can go on for way longer than people anticipate. Perhaps that's why newfrens in particular are shocked by threads like these.
>>15821343>The latter is simply better to regularly be around, in long-termYeah I can absolutely see that being the case with some people, such as myself. I only ever went to boards like /r9k/ for the comfy threads. I'm not sure if those exist anymore or not, but if they don't then that would be a damn shame.
Still, there are people who prefer their private gatekept communities or faster boards, and /bant/ fulfills neither desire, which leaves it in this strange limbo state that I honestly kind of enjoy. I hope that made sense.
>Albeit they're slow for the most part. That's part of what draws me to altchans & here. The slowness can help cultivate a community the altchan intends to.
