I'm not vegan but I think it would be cool if you had to PERSONALLY and (with a knife of some sort like halal or w/e) slay the animal you were going to eat before you were allowed to eat it, of course that would utterly fuck over the entire livestock business and would never happen but I think it would be cool, I would definitely still eat meat but obviously all women and children would basically stop eating meat immediately
