I know the tweet is fake but this reminds me of all those stories during shootings/terror attacks of boyfriends catching a bullet for their girlfriend. It's probably an evolutionary instinct and not really a rational decision, but I always pity these guys for sacrificing their life for some girl who's going to be fucking another guy 3 weeks later, and forget about you in 4, all while rationalizing to herself that it's okay, because "he would want me to be happy."
