>>21478073>>21479461>>21483966As the match ends and the destructive duo known as Pandemonium find themselves left licking their wounds, Cassie Kade is a woman devoid of any kind of satisfaction. They were defeated, yes. Perhaps humbled even. And now The Widowmakers were the ones standing tall.
But it was Kelly who had secured the victory, and it was Pandora who was her victim. Cassie’s eyes focus on Persephone as the witch crawls toward her partner. She was the one who started the fire. She was the one Cassie wanted. That strangely captivating but infuriatingly destructive force of nature whose actions had cost her a small fortune. Tonight’s hollow victory changed nothing.
Cassie moves toward Kelly and gives her a hug, keeping both eyes on Persephone all the while. “Good work, DiVanna.” She then steps away from her fellow Widowmaker and advances toward Persephone. She stands over her and their eyes meet in silence for a moment, before she crouches beside her, reducing the distance between them.
“Someone recently told me that fate always has a plan for your kind and mine. But whatever that plan happens to be, rest assured it won’t be ending here. Not until you and I have walked the path laid out by all that remains unresolved between us.” She traces a fingernail up Persephone’s abdomen as she speaks, much like Persephone did to her toward the end of their first meeting.
But as her hand drifts upward, beyond Persephone’s cleavage, Cassie abruptly grabs the collar of her top and uses it to pull her up into a seated position, leaving no more than an inch between their faces. “When we meet again, I won’t be bringing a friend. I’ll be coming alone. I suggest you do the same.”
