>>11271878I did once. It kind of screwed up my whole world view and is probably responsible for why I am on /pol/. I had grown up with this myth of America as this great and omnipresent bastion of freedom, justice, and honest God fearing people. What I saw was broken, amoral, empty hedonists. They all had these glazed over eyes and walked hunched over like the virgin in the Virgin vs. Chad meme. Everyone I met was on drugs or drunk all the time. No one really believed in anything but they would loudly talk about convictions they proclaimed to hold. Mostly the thing that changed me was how the only people who were white I saw during my entire visit were the people I had come to see. It raised a lot of uncomfortable questions at the time and I, an /a/utist who never crossboarded and would scream stormweenie at the slightest hint of anything right of Sweden, started coming to /pol/ to see what was going on in America to bring it to that point. First I was shocked, followed by offended. Eventually I became amused, then I became angry.
