I remember the Soviet flag being a starless hammer and sickle, and occasionally, the official flag would change to be one with a star like this.
It always ended up changing back to starless so I thought it was just people fucking up and posting the wrong flag but I think it was a flip flopping Mandela now. Other than that my timeline is the one with no star.
