>>13334454>Was it doxycycline hyclate anon? My dad was mysteriously prescribed some for a random infection.Doxycycline monohydrate and doxycycline hyclate differ only in their salt form- monohydrate and hyclate. Hyclate has greater solubility than monohydrate. However, the monohydrate form may be more tolerable. Regardless of their solubility differences, both forms are effective at treating infections.
I took 100mg 2x daily (morning and night) for 12 days. Really helped. I delayed taking it the first time I got sick with COVID19 and the chest infection was bad but manageable. As soon as I started Doxycycline I felt way better.
This time I took it as soon as I started to cough and "nipped it in the bud" as they say. Would only cough a little bit a few times a day, only spit up phlegm 1x in the morning and maybe 1x in the afternoon. It really helped. Also was taking zinc, vitamin C, d3, and iodine.
