i remember thinking it was pretty insane back in the day to see the people behind random retarded clips, but that was way before proper internet celebrities and """influencers""" were a thing. now if someone has a clip go viral they'll start shilling every channel they have instantly
well yeah that's exactly my point of why it would be a pain to make a language rather than draw on things. if i wanted it to be decent it'd be a legitimate linguistic undertaking rather than just sorta fucking around with sounds until i get words i like.
linguistics is effectively the concentration for my degree though. obviously two or or three linguistics classes for a single language doesn't make for a proper linguist but i could certainly see myself going further down that path as time goes on given the opportunity
