>>10816380Belief is a very different thing for Pagans. The Abrahamic faiths demand a jealous devotion with full heart and mind. Traditional European paganism was more generally seen as a way one interfaces with the deeper secrets of the universe. The gods didn't necessarily need to be all-powerful, omnipotent, or the creators of all things. They were just a greater race who represented divine cosmic forces. And devotion to them was like a matter of friendship and kinship more than slavish obedience.
I love the gods, whether they're literally true or not, and I hope my actions are worthy of their blessings. If they are representatives of some greater force, so be it. Also, still voting for Trump.
