They introduced tripping, where you had a chance to literally fall over for no reason if you ran
And on top of that, the game had by far, the most unbalanced character in all of smash.
It was so bad that the russian scene literally banned the character. That's never happened before nor since

Well recently someone added rollback netcode functionality to the game as well as shitloads of other cool things like automatic match making
It's shockingly good and easy to use, so if you stopped playing because of weird lag or shit functionality now is a great time to start playing again
