I would know if the feed was buffering server side since I'd start getting double responses where polygon will pass multiple messages in one. Once I went in memory and Redis that quit happening. If you started doing a lot more stuff than I am you might need to go hard with microservices but that hasn't been an issue for me. Also fwiw I use ZeroMQ to pass data from the websocket feed to all the different scripts that need it and zmq has no problem keeping up
