>>20196624I had that, too. My entire mouth full of acid when I wake up. I also have aches around my kidneys every day I wake up. I have a diaphragm hernia and something goes wrong when I lie down. I have to elevate my head and torso but then I might still get pain after lying down for long on a bad day.
What helps significantly is lying on the left ear side as opposed to the right side, because of the way the stomach is oriented.
Other than that what helps me reduce the pain and also the acid reflux is taking a glass of water with peppermin or some other essential oil. Citrulline also seems to have a positive effect, that can trigger herpes, though.
As for carbohydrates I found it's best to eat only the amount you actually are going to burn yourself via activity. If you are sedentary don't eat too many carbs or random bacteria/parasites/whatever inside your body be it good or bad will digest it and do whatever from it.
It helps to take probiotics or fermented foods together with a chunk of fibre such as ground milk thistle. I'm lucky to not have any issue with pain from fibre.
I also went to the doctor because of my daily pain but she claimed my kidneys are completely fine. It's very odd though since it always seem to corellate to hydration.
The acid reflux and the pain came around the same time for me when i had an h. pylori infection. I ended up taking a strong probiotic course designed to kill it, it was killed according to lab tests, but nothing changed to my symptoms. So it probably wasn't even the h. pylori and i might as well not have nuked my stuff. That's years ago though and my digestion per se is fine.
It really annoyed me when I take pretty good care of my teeth to just have my mouth full of acid every day. Natron helps acutely for that
I would still be glad if I had only the reflux issue and not the pain, though.
Both get reduced significantly when I live healthier and don't overdo anything unhealthy.
But they always seem to kick back in eventually.
