Just a word of advice if you ever want to explore an old coal mine (which most would not be crazy enough to do, though some adventurous souls out there do it).
There can be nasty gases and completely anoxic conditions in a sealed off coal mine or a sealed off section of a working coal mine. Sometimes, just one breath of the bad air can kill a person. You would pass out on the spot from that breath and then keep breathing the air until you expire. So if you want to explore an old sealed off coal mine, bring gas detectors and an oxygen supply.
However, there are people who know more about exploring old coal mines than I do, so do your research before ever taking up this death sport of a hobby.
