If you don't believe in metaphysical, you just don't think about it, you forget it and go about your business, not waste your breath on screaming at it. And yet "atheism" as ideology exists.
There is only one time known to history when "atheism" ideology became a thing, European domain of Abrahamic religions after Abrahamic religions lost ability to harm and persecute apostates.
There were many times when people didn't take religions seriously or didn't believe in metaphysical explicitly. Hellenics and Romans were secular atheists for all intents and purposes, they definitely didn't literally believe in powerful entities living on top of mt. Olympus and blasting lightnings from there, but religion somehow was significant part of their culture. Modern japs have same attitude. Chink Confucianism is essentially a religion, but it does not believe in supernatural. Buddism is most nihilistic thing humanity ever invented.
And yet, none of those spawned "atheism" movement that explicitly goes around and screeches about how god(s) isn't real. Only abrahamism spawned something like this, and only abrahamism in Europe/European colonies.
"Atheism" is just a form assumed by unconscious impulse of Europeans to reject alien Abrahamic shit. When "atheist" claims that there is no god, it doesn't mean abstract god, it means semitic god "yahweh" that was forced into person's head by semites and does not belong there. Not to mention that abrahamic religion itself is disgusting, it is not source of inspiration and solace, only of fear, confusion and mindfuck. Therefore "atheism" is forgotten the moment person just detoxes from abrahamism and finds something better.
