Here's the truth: It's up to you. Having a wife can be rewarding as well as maddening. Kids can be rewarding but also maddening. It's up to the person. Feeling pressured to be married with kids is nonsense and it doesn't matter because nothing matters. You live, you die. What you do with that time is up to you. If latching into someone is what you need then go to it. If you can't find purpose without offspring then you have found the thinking that has led to the destruction of the world.
