yeah, it's definitely seeming unlikely they are who they're pretending to be. the account is using the same name as some real guy without explicitly saying they're the same, so if i get another sketchy reply or none at all i'll probably try emailing the real game dev guy since he has his contact information on linkedin just so he knows someone's running around stealing his identity
