>>11613699it's funny because it's not like i specifically care about shounen, it's just that my adhd makes me need to feel like every scene has a "point" and shounen is typically quite fast paced so it's less of a problem.
it's definitely a different dynamic reading instead of watching so i'll probably try branching out after i catch up on fire force and jojo. can't follow action at all when it's on paper and casual dialogue should be much less annoying if i can choose to skim or whatever so slice of life is probably next up on the list to try out even though historically i've hated it. benefits that i need to start trying to read something in japanese and slice of life stuff is usually easiest to comprehend
