>>18349838>>18349854>>18349883I hate all you millennials who pretend to be "oldfags" and whine about "election tourists" who have only been here since 2016, when /pol/ itself wasn't even a thing before 2011. Who the fuck do you think you're fooling?
>InB4 B-but I was here before /pol/, I was posting on /b/!Then go back there fag, /b/ is still a thing. You can still go there and look at gore and porn. I first looked at /b/ in the early 2000s and said "Meh, this is just a more retarded version of Something Awful"
You have to understand that the internet itself was vastly different not even ten years ago. Being anonymous wasn't a special feature, it was the default. People would express politically incorrect opinions on everything from Youtube comments to IMDB forums and everything in between. But nowadays to post a comment on anything you have to "Sign in with your Facebook Account" or "Sign in with you Google Account", and to get one of these accounts you have to provide an actual phone number that can be traced back to your real identity. Of course there are ways around it but it's a hassle that most people aren't willing to go through, especially when your comment will be deleted and your account banned the first time you say something racist, anti-semetic or homophobic.
/pol/ wasn't ruined by election tourists, the internet itself was ruined and /pol/ was the last place anyone could go to express opinions that aren't tolerated by the people pushing the narrative. Now /pol/ is being ruined by various organizations BECAUSE it's the last place anyone can
go.to express these opinions. That's why nine out of ten threads here are retarded 1PBTID ragebait, and any actually interesting threads are filled with shills acting retarded.
TLDR; /pol/ has gotten worse, as has everything else, and it's all part of a massive effort to wipe out free speech on the internet. Pic unrelated
