>>16025400If having glasses fits well together rest of that character's design, then, of course. But I don't feel like it goes for every single one of them out there, you know?
Although, if we're going purely off the attractiveness factor, then, I think I'd agree with you, because glasses just have a charm to them, and add flavor in a pretty good way. I feel that I couldn't ever find myself complaining about glasses. Again, they don't necessarily fit together with everything, but when they do work, they're just great. I could probably think of a bunch of characters I'd like to see with them. I can't go in-depth about them right now like I want to, but, yeah, glasses are cool. The chances of me getting interested in a character goes up a fair amount if they've glasses fitting of them.
Also, hear me out, I want a 2D girl who puts on glasses only when they need to read or something. You get the best of both worlds, do you not? They don't have glasses on all the time, therefore you don't get used very to the look and it stays fresh, while being able to appreciate the without glasses look they have. And once they do put it on, it's mesmerising and you get to absorb it in all it's glory, until they take it off and it's back to the usual, which is really nice to see afterwards, as well. Basically, it's like a balance, you only get too see her with glasses occasionally, therefore it stays just as good as the first time, and you don't get burned out on it.
The mix of sometimes not having glasses and sometimes having them, is the perfect answer to the question of whether glasses are better or not. You get to enjoy both worlds of greatness, while not burning yourself out on either. I think it's genius. And with characters that I'm torn on whether they should have glasses or not, it's a great solution to them as well. It really is genius.
Overall, sure. But I still wouldn't like glasses on everything.
