How could this “famous mathematician” be accredited with proving the earth is a globe and calculating the circumference of the earth in 240BC when his calculations literally proved nothing at all. It would be like acreditting an anon for proving that all dollars are made of 4 quarters bc 4 x 25 cents = 1 dollar, and then nobody noticed for LITERALLY 2 THOUSAND YEARS the fact that other dollars existed in increments of dimes and nickles and pennies. It’s so obviously stupid that it should make any critical thinker skeptical of why this lie was inserted into the public consciousness in the first place.
Also, there were other supposed famous mathematicians and historians living in and near Greece at the time that didn’t ever mention Ero in any of their writings. In fact, the first time the story of his sticks and shadows proof ever popped up was in a Rockefeller textbook in the 1940’s.. go figure
