>*****I need to know your thoughts as I plan on joining the church but I am getting a lot of flack from people on how the Church isn't rejecting a blatant heresy known as Fatima.
Example of it being a heresy is how Mary in Lucia's vision said that it is Mary that forgives sins and demands people to venerate her heart for retribution of peoples' blasphemy towards her. She goes on to reveal a new revelation that claims Jesus told Lucia that Jesus now wants people to join their heart to Mary.
Any new revelation that tries to continue the work Jesus had done or claims that Jesus' work needs to be completed by some new revelation is deemed a false apparition by the Church, so why not this one?
So why don't more Catholics speak out against Fatima??? I don't get it /pol/ it doesn't make any sense.
Lucia reveled her prophecies of a great war coming if people didn't repent in 1941 and others after the events took place, it's like if I were to say that Barack Obama would be President. Not to mention that staring at the sun will naturally cause blotches to appear in the sky, make it appear that it is moving around, or getting larger like the crowd claimed.
I just need someone whose Catholic to tell me their thoughts on it because in my own perspective it is obviously false. I agree with the Catholics on everything else but it is hard when people I know bring up this one issue and state that the Church is defending it.
