>>19916831Before the theory of evolution, agnostic deism would've made the most sense (believing there's a cook in the back), but now that we understand how biological organisms actually work, agnostic atheism is much more logical. Inserting a deity is something that belongs in speculative science fiction; maybe our universe was created by a scientist, but being that we currently have no way of ascertaining this, it's pointless to assume there is a scientist who created our universe. It's best we just stick with the things we do know and be honest about keeping speculation as just speculation.
None of the religions who have a creator deity carry any weight when examined with scrutiny (you can thank monotheistic religions like Christianity for giving birth to the scientific method that falsified all of the evidence for competing religions and then making a *surprise pikachu* face when this method turned around and falsified all of the evidence they had for their God).
All that being said, instead of speculating about a potential creator deity, it's more productive to think about our own potential to create our own real God. Right now, the Google search engine is the closest thing humanity has to a God that satisfies the criteria for what we desire in a God (something that has the answers to our questions and a means for us to achieve immortality by having our thoughts and opinions data-mined and cached by it).
