Carmody Jefferson arrives at the Dojo in street clothes and takes a look around, hoping to find Ash Romero. It's been a few days since she was last here, and something has gone horribly wrong. There's mold and water damage, and at least a few people around who she doesn't recognize. She does, however, recognize the scruffy blond girl who stays there but seldom takes any lessons or attends any classes. Andi Kestrel. Sniffing and grimacing at the smell of mold in the air, Carmody walks up to her; Andi's busy picking up trash and cleaning the Dojo with a sponge and a bucket of warm, soapy water.
Carmody:
>"Hey, Andi, right? Didn't expect to run into you. You're cleaning up around here?"
Andi smiles weakly.
>"Uhh, yeah man. You're here to help, right?"
Carmody:
>"No, uhh, I mean, yeah, after I talk to Coach Ash. Sure, I'll help. Just a little surprised to see you helping out with the mess?"
Andi looks puzzled and hurt.
>"Uhh, what's that supposed to mean? Shouldn't I be trying to help? Shouldn't you?"
Carmody:
>"Nothing! Just that I'm glad to see you helping."
Andi shrugs.
>"Yeah, y'know, when you're crashing at a place and not paying any rent or anything, it's nice to try and help out a little, you know?"
Carmody's eyes narrow.
>"Are you fucking with me?"
Andi flinches back in surprise.
>"No! No, of course not! Just that I oughtta help out here when I can!"
