Circa 2010-2012, every corner started looking like pic related, begging for gold and silver.
Only though the lens of history did I start to wonder how they made a profit, then ask how they didn't lose their ass, then why they existed to begin with.
I'm speculating they were chains of companies (much like the 'we'll buy your house!! flyers today) that'd gouge sellers who were on hard times and entice junkies and thieves. Then when prices bombed, they kept a small enough inventory to not be terribly affected, then moved on to their next scam.
