Chris Harper-Mercer, a 26-year-old student, fatally shot nine people and injured nine others before killing himself following a gun battle with responding police officers. Following the shooting, many revealed that a poster on the board /r9k/ submitted a thread warning students living in the Pacific Northwest to "not go to school the next day" one day prior, leading many to speculate that it was the shooter (shown below).
