So, whenever you take an action, you also have some preferred outcome in mind, right? Sometimes it's a specific outcome ("I want to have that job"), sometimes a more broad outcome ("I want to have any job"), but we always take actions for outcomes.
But the strange thing is these preferred outcomes are solely imagined. They only exist in your mind. So whenever you "fail" to accomplish something, you actually don't lose anything.
