>>18905812>>18906088>>18906088Carmody Jefferson's been on edge during this morning's training. She doesn't want to be caught off guard by Amy Flame; Amy can't find out about her squatting in Colby's apartment. Not today of all days. But she's also looking around for Sola Fire. It's not like Sola to be late for training, and after the last few nights they've spent near each other, she and Sola have some things to talk about. She's determined not to miss her again, like the last time when she meant to talk to Sola after training.
Then she hears a faint shout from behind the doo and catches a glimpse, through a window. Amy Flame. Sola's there too, and there's tension in her face.
>"Excuse me, I need a bathroom break."Carmody's not sure what's going on. As she gets closer, there's some hostile body language, and it's impossible to hear any of what's being said, or read tone, from here. It looks like Amy's got Sola penned in.
Carmody doesn't want trouble with Amy. She wants to like her. When she learned about Colby's relationship with Amy, she'd simply smiled to herself; Carmody has been comfortable with her own bisexuality since she was a teenager, and it was nice to see Colby find somebody. She'd stood up for Colby, and the relationship, against their very traditionally-minded, religious mother. But that was important to Carmody: if someone, anyone, was coming after a person she cared about, she was going to stand up. Like now. Sola can handle herself, but she shouldn't have to do it alone.
Carmody takes a metal hook off of a weight machine, tucks it in her hand, and braces the round part against her palm. You never know. Amy is Colby's girl, but she's also a Divine Angel. So was Lightning Nika, and Carmody remembers how that went.
When she comes through the door, she's relieved. Sola's calm, the conversation seems mild. But she doesn't let her guard down. She looks at Sola, but keeps Amy in her sights.
>"Hey, Sola. Is everything okay?"
