I own both SVM and MEI, and the amount of shares outstanding today means nothing to the shareholder establishing a new position. SOLG also has like 3B shares outstanding btw, I own that too. However many shares a company has outstanding is simply not a material factor to consider when making a new investment.
I'm not against alternative forms of financing as long as it's not debt. Debt for an exploreco or a developer several years from an FID might as well be a kiss of death.
