> every time I use ityou don't. you can add the devide UUID in the fstab, pointing the device towards a mount point filesystem etc. it will mount automatically on boot if plugged or if not then "mount -a" in terminal will mount it.
not sure about why though, when mounting device on KDE i just get the windows-style popup asking what to do, if to mount and open or whatever else. you shouldnt manually mount it through terminal like a caveman every time you connect it
