generally tho, yeah finding players is easy. everyone is interested in trying d&d but nobody wants to dm so you can generally hit up basically anyone that you're friends with and they'll be down to play.
also yeah what the dm says goes, but if stuff is shitty it's your fault too, so it's not like you can just be replacing people willy nilly or it'll put everyone on edge thinking they'll get booted and nobody will get a chance to get attatched to their character or the story
