Pretty much anywhere along the Appalachian mountains just shy of the fall line. Beautiful country filled with forests, streams, and rivers straddling the line between hill and mountains country before giving way to more open fields and meadows. The north western parts of Washington State near the Salish Sea are also very beautiful but you would have to deal with the climate and living near Seattle.
