You're gonna have to do all this stuff if you have faith in it. It gives you demons to fight in order to make you stronger... and in the process it destroys the people that the demons are sent into to. It's basically a training manual for making you strong enough to fight demons on your own but it sacrifices human beings to achieve that. Whereas buddhism also helps overcome demons without sacrificing people to them.
